Nico Hülkenberg a little disappointed

Author of his only career pole position in Brazil with Williams in 2010, Nico Hulkenberg hoped to repeat his performance in the circumstances of the qualifying session in Austria, disrupted by rain.

Third in the end behind the two Mercedes de Hamilton and Rosberg, the winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2015, however, hoped to rise to the level of the W07 Hybrid in the dry conditions.

“I felt really good in the car and I had a flashback to Brazil. I felt really good and to be honest, I expected a little better. But third is a good result with a great effort from the whole team, underlines Hülkenberg.

It was not an easy session and you had to be there at the right time. It's all about timing. The car is performing well, we have put everything together and we have a very good starting position for tomorrow. »

The German is taking advantage of the Force India's return to form, which Sergio Pérez was unable to achieve for his part this Saturday, victim of a suspension problem on his VJM09 in Q1. “Tomorrow we will do what we can. I don't think too much about it now.

We will do it in the next two hours, tonight and tomorrow, but our car has made huge progress since Barcelona. We are on a good path, we have good momentum. »
