Nico Rosberg doesn't have the microphone in his pocket. At the end of the French Grand Prix Formula 1, the 2016 world champion sharply criticized the actions of the Team Ferrari on the overheated tarmac of the Paul-Ricard circuit (Var).

The ex-German pilot initially did not understand the tactics of the Reds concerning Carlos Sainz. The Madrilenian had been called back to his stand to change tires when he had just stolen third place from Sergio Pérez (Red Bull) and that his times were still satisfactory.

« I shook my head at Ferrari's strategy for Sainz, he explained for the channel UK Sky Sports TV. QWhat did they do? First of all, he was in the middle of a huge battle on the track and his whole team was no longer watching that, they were focused on doing their calculations on pit stop times. They were talking to him in the middle of the action, while he was wheel to wheel (with Pérez). I thought, “Guys, what are you doing? » »

The young 37-year-old retiree continues, and lands other uppercuts against the Reds. “Then Carlos is on the podium and could have comfortably stayed there because the tires would have been in good condition until the end. He even had a chance to catch Lewis (Hamilton) for the second position. But, they called him to the pits and there was no chance of going beyond fifth (after this pit stop).

Really, I think it's time for Ferrari to make changes in strategy, serious changes. This decision was truly terrible. I can't explain it to myself. Mattia (Binotto, the main team. Editor’s note) absolutely must look into it and make serious changes. »
