After being a victim an engine problem this morning is explosion of the right rear tire of his Mercedes W06 Hybrid which slowed down the progress of the reigning vice-world champion. A misadventure which fortunately ended well, Rosberg avoiding contact with the wall.

“It was a really shocking moment for me. When you're going 300 km/h and something goes wrong, it's a horrible feeling. I thought I'd end up in the wall, and to be honest, it's just pure luck not to have hit anything. We now have to investigate with Pirelli to see what happened. »

Despite this scare, the German, who is also expecting the birth of his first child in the coming days, remains satisfied with his day. “The circuit is fantastic, and our car seems fast once again. It was good on the track, and I was delighted with my pace."
