Nico Rosberg: “Staying in touch”

Since the start of the season, Nico Rosberg has made the most of the potential of his MGP W01, and is ahead of his illustrious teammate both in qualifying and in the race. In Sepang, on a track that he likes, the young German will try to score important points in the championship again to avoid being left behind by the leading men:

“Malaysia is one of my favorite circuits on the calendar F1, affirms the pilot of the firm to the star. It is fast and demanding, with a very interesting track with lots of varied turns. I generally qualify very well here, with fourth position on the grid last year and third in 2006. Even if in Australia we did not obtain the results, in qualifying or in the race, in line with our potential, We made big progress on the tuning of our cars during the weekend. Sepang is a different circuit to Albert Park but these improvements will be beneficial and this track is ideal to see where the different teams are at. We hope to be able to continue to score big points in order to stay in contact with the leaders in the championship. »

Last year, before the storm, Nico Rosberg had long held second place in the Grand Prix behind Jenson Button, before finally finishing eighth. This year, within a team Mercedes in which he seems to feel good, the former pilot Williams must certainly hope for more.
