Nikita Mazepin to drive Mercedes W10 at Barcelona testing
The list of drivers lined up for the two days of testing this Tuesday and Wednesday in Spain in Barcelona is being completed gradually. Mercedes-AMG F1 thus confirmed this Monday morning the presence in the W10 of the Finn Valtteri Bottas and Russian Nikita mazepin, for the two days of driving.
Mazepin is currently playing in the FIA F2 for ART Grand Prix, and comes off three seasons as a Force India reserve driver. The Mazepin family had once hoped to be able to acquire the stable then owned by Vijay Mallya, and in great financial difficulty, but the purchase by Lawrence Stroll, father of Lance, had been recorded, via exclusive negotiations.
Mazepin will therefore discover the car 2019 world champions on Wednesday, with Bottas lined up the day before.
