Norris: “Continue to progress and maximize performance”

Very regular in recent months, McLaren arrives in Emilia-Romagna in a real outsider position. On site, the English team can foresee a good weekend after the 4th and 7th places in Lando Norris et Daniel Ricciardo of the Bahrain Grand Prix a fortnight ago.

« We started the season with a good result in Bahrain, recognizes the first mentioned before continuing. Our goal is to continue to progress and maximize performance in each race. There are still areas that we need to work on to try to have more potential and thus be more competitive ».

Daniel Ricciardo for his part is on the same wavelength as his teammate. Seventh for his debut with the Woking team, the Australian is confident for the second meeting of the campaign.

« I can't wait to get back in the car, he emphasizes. There are still a few things to learn and master, which takes a little time. I am still confident and I think we still have room for improvement (...) I feel better after my first race so that’s encouraging ».

Third at Imola last year, but with Renault, Daniel Ricciardo hopes to repeat his performance this weekend and why not better. “ It’s an old-fashioned, very fast track that doesn’t leave much room for error. I plan to use last year's experience to help the team fight for important points ».

In good shape, McLaren will surely have its card to play at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari this week-end. But be careful, the competition should be there. Ferrari and Alpha Tauri could stand up to the English and thus thwart their plans.
