This 2025 season welcomed its third different winner in as many races. This Sunday, Max Verstappen won the Japanese Grand Prix. His first victory since Qatar at the beginning of December and the 64th of his career, thus further securing his third place in the history of the F1 rear Michael Schumacher (91) et Lewis Hamilton (105)
Starting from pole position, the four-time reigning world champion managed to resist the McLaren despite the omnipresence of Lando Norris et Oscar piastri behind him and still with a very slight margin.
Despite this, the Japanese Grand Prix was relatively quiet, with very little action on track. While Oscar Piastri closed in on Lando Norris, posting a better pace than him, the Australian had to settle for third place without being able to attack his teammate. Max Verstappen never really had to defend his position on Norris, except during the pit exit, even though it only lasted a few seconds.
Behind the leading trio, Charles Leclerc, George Russell and Andrea Kimi Antonelli were unable to keep up the pace, thus being excluded from the fight for the podium. On the French side, satisfaction came from Isack Hadjar who won his first points in F1 (4) thanks to his 8th place under the checkered flag.

Suzuka (on the dry) is 20 guys having a blast and 20 million falling asleep watching them! Beautiful track, impossible to overtake without a very large tire differential, impossible to follow each other closely for more than 3 laps (ground effect aerodynamics no longer work). Either you slow the cars down by 20 seconds, or you don't come anymore. Vegas or Miami are crappy circuits but there's a lot more going on there.

To be polite, let's say it was as monotonous as a street circuit created by Herman Tilke and his ilk! A shame with such a layout.

Why did the GP only last 45 minutes? That's shorter than a sprint race! One of the worst GPs in history, I gave it last place on the ranking (10) before realizing that it's probably a score out of 10 (not specified), and so I gave it the best score while wanting to give the worst...
