New engine for Sainz condemned to the back of the grid

The weekends go by and the engine penalties keep coming. Formula 1. After Valtteri Bottas in Italy or even Max Verstappen et Charles Leclerc more recently in Russia, it is the turn of Carlos Sainz to suffer the same fate as all of his classmates.

La Team Ferrari has in fact confirmed that the Iberian will use its 4th power unit of the season, also condemning it to a start from the back of the grid this Sunday during the Turkish Grand Prix.

« It's Carlos' turn, regrets the Maranello team. As was the case for Charles Leclerc in Russia, in Turkey Carlos Sainz will use a completely new power unit equipped with the new hybrid system. Therefore, he will start from the back of the grid with the objective of moving up the standings to try to score some points ».

In addition, Mattia Binotto will not be traveling to Istanbul Park. The Scuderia Team Principal will follow the entire race weekend from Maranello where they will be in direct contact with the team present in Turkey.
