New complicated race for Haas and Grosjean

The Frenchman, criticized for his rough defenses last week, finished 16th in this race in total anonymity. The latter did not have an easy Grand Prix and notably suffered with his tires like most of the other drivers. “The start didn't go well but I don't know what I did wrong, we have to analyze all that. After that, the pace was good but I was losing so much support in traffic. »

“I asked to go to plan B, namely to stop only once, but it was ultimately impossible to do. I tried to go as far as possible with the hard tires, I did the best I could. We thought we were suffering with the front tires but in fact we had blisters at the rear. I guess it was the same for everyone. »

Romain Grosjean nevertheless ended his statement with a touch of optimism. “The lap times were good even if the result doesn't show it. I know where we can improve. »

His teammate Kevin Magnussen received a 5-second penalty for violently kicking his wheel Nicholas latifi (Williams). He subsequently had to retire (the only retirement of the race), his team having preferred to withdraw him because worrying vibrations on his car threatened to damage the suspensions.
