To the Spec 4 unsheathed by Honda, Mercedes responds with a new phase of its motor. The manufacturer confirmed it this Thursday at Spa-Francorchamps where the F1 resumes after a month of summer break.
The latest specification will also be made available to the client teams of Étoile, Racing Point and Williams.
A Mercedes spokesperson confirmed that the new engine would make its track debut this Friday in Free Practice 1. According to the same source, “tests on the dyno revealed gains in performance and reliability”.
