This is a scenario which could largely lead to an episode dedicated to Nyck de Vries during the next season of the now famous Netflix series drive to survive. In Italy, Nyck de Vries indeed experienced a waking dream, one of those only the Formula 1 knows how to offer. Last Thursday, the Dutchman thought he would show up at the circuit to take part in just a short Free Practice 1 session with Aston Martin, as part of the sessions reserved for rookies, before quietly putting on his shorts and flip flops and sitting down comfortably next to Toto wolff to follow qualifying and the race from the garage Mercedes, as he does every time.
