Ocon accepts Perez's apology and wants to move on

The two successive incidents between Esteban Ocon et Sergio Perez only reignited tensions within the Force India team. The French driver furiously attacked his teammate, notably on social networks where he wrote last night that “Perez had tried to kill him”. The Mexican apologized by taking responsibility for the first collision with the wall during the descent of Eau Rouge.

“In the heat of the moment and given the dangerous situation, I was very upset, explains Ocon today on social networks. But I'll move on, we're a team and I appreciate my teammate apologizing. We want to work better together. »

These repeated contacts between teammates continue to make the atmosphere deleterious within Force India which is nevertheless moving in the direction of its best ranking in the constructor's championship in 4e instead.

“I am involved and committed to the success of Sahara Force India, and I am confident that as a team we will put this behind us to achieve even greater success together. It's going to be a challenge to keep this fourth place and nothing will take us away from this goal. »

Esteban Ocon came 9th in the Belgian Grand Prix while Sergio Perez retired in the final laps.
