Ocon: “We are there every time to score points”

In the game of collisions in the first corner and abandonment of Valtteri Bottas (Mercedes), one of the winning teams of this Spanish Grand Prix remains Force India. With Sergio Pérez and Esteban Ocon, 4th and 5th under the checkered flag, the Indo-British team won important points with a view to the Manufacturers' championship.

Seventh in Russia and fifth this Sunday in Spain, the Frenchman signs his best career result after qualifying which left him with a taste of unfinished business due to a DRS problem during his last attempt in Q3.

“It’s great, I’m really happy, admitted Ocon at the microphone of Canal +. We are in the top 5. There were certainly circumstances but we are there every time to score points, and that is what we have to do.

We look forward to continuing to achieve good results in the future. I have confidence, we can only have confidence after seventh place in Russia and fifth here. We will have to continue to do a good job to be well placed at the end of the season. »
