The relationship between Otmar Szafnauer and Aston Martin has just come to an end. After 12 years within the Silverstone-based structure (Force India and Racing Point before being renamed Aston Martin in 2021), the American left his position.

« We would like to thank him for his service to the team over the past 12 years and wish him good luck for the future, as he will undoubtedly take on new challenges » writes Aston Martin for its part.

For the moment, the management team will take care of the interim while waiting for Aston Martin to find Otmar Szafnauer's replacement. The British team wants to be confident for the future and “ give yourself a little time » to study different options before announcing its new internal structure.

Recently AUTOhebdo revealed to you that the American could take the management ofAlpine which provides for a vast restructuring plan under the supervision of Laurent Red, general manager ofAlpine Cars. Here is Otmar Szafnauer free of any contract. What should we see in this as a sign of his arrival with the Blues? To be continued…

At Alpine ? Not at all sure that the 'graft' will take!!! I would be Alonso, I would condition my participation in the 2022 season on it.
