Where is Hispania Racing Team?

Uncertainties remain regarding the future of HRT in F1. Following the withdrawal of Dallara, the Spanish team currently finds itself without a chassis for the 2011 season. Three months before the first race of the Championship (March 13 in Bahrain), the team still cannot develop its car. In addition, no announcement has been made regarding the titular pilots and financial partnerships.

The situation is worrying but José Ramon Carabante remains calm. “The car will be present on the starting grids,” assured the team boss to the Spanish newspaper Marca. “We want to gradually consolidate the team without going too quickly. Our project covers two or three seasons. We will take stock again at the end of this period. »

José Ramon Carabante also confirmed that changes to the drivers were going to be made. “We are currently talking to five or six drivers but there is no rush at the moment. No announcement will be made before January. Our goal will be to progress compared to last season, but we have to be realistic. It will be very difficult to score points. It would still be nice to get closer to stables such as Toro Rosso or Force India. »
