The Austin Grand Prix may not take place until 2013 following delays by the organizers. Bernie Ecclestone also expressed his concerns last weekend about the holding of the race in 2012. However, Hermann Tilke, the creator of several circuits F1 in charge of the Texan project, seems confident about the completion of the work for the arrival of F1 next season and is enthusiastic about the final result.
“Hundreds of workers are on site, the equipment is installed, everything is now in place”, assures the German architect on Autosport. ?We have the advantage that Austin offers a natural elevation with several hills that we can use to complete the work quickly. As for the New Jersey Grand Prix scheduled for 2013, it will be a real urban circuit. We'll have to make do with what's up there, but I'm sure the result will be truly fantastic. »
