Paddy Lowe denies contact with Ferrari

Speculation over Paddy Lowe's future at Mercedes F1 have been strengthening since the Italian newspaper La Stampa mentioned a possible departure of the technical director of the German manufacturer to Scuderia Ferrari. The stable of Maranello would like to recruit the British engineer to compensate for the departure of James allison whose position would be temporarily occupied by Mattia Binotto.

Paddy Lowe responded to the rumors in Car picture. “I don’t speak with Ferrari and they haven’t come to see me. I am happy where I am. I work with a great team and great people and my relationships are good with Toto wolff (Mercedes Motorsport director). I have no reason to leave”, assured the technical director of Mercedes F1.

Sebastian Vettel was also asked in the Singapore Grand Prix paddock about speculation surrounding Paddy Lowe's future.

“You have to think about it when someone of this caliber is available, but to my knowledge he is not.”, replied the Scuderia Ferrari driver.
