No double DRS before Suzuka for Lotus

At the start of the week, the Lotus F1 Team had announced that it would not use double DRS this weekend in Italy at the Monza circuit. The first appearance of this system in racing should therefore be postponed to the Japanese Grand Prix next month, the evolution ofenstone being considered ineffective on the urban route of Singapore, scene of the 14th round of the world championship on September 23.

« Although we would like to have it at Monza, because it is the type of circuit which is particularly suited to this kind of system, we will not have double DRS in Italy, explains Allison. In Singapore you won't see it either because there is too much aerodynamic downforce on this track and the straights are not long enough to make it worth using our system. The next Grand Prix where you have a chance to see it will be Suzuka. »
