No number 1 at Mercedes

Same recital at the start of each season. No top team has a number 1 or number 2 driver… No oddity at Mercedes GP Petronas which puts Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg on the same line.

Almost all of the two hundred journalists present this morning in Stuttgart wanted to hear these words: “We do not have a number 1 driver and we do not intend to have a number 1 driver”? Ross Brawn served this little phrase on a platter.

Nico Rosberg went a little further: “I had a little doubt deep down because I know that Michael is very close to Ross. I had many discussions with Ross and Norbert Haug. Ross Brawn, in no way shocked by the question, insists on his results: “We gave the same chances to Jenson and Rubens last year and we will do the same to help Nico and Michael to fight at the front.
