Pascal Wehrlein looking forward to 2017

What assessment do you draw from your first half-season?

The initial goal was to score at least one point this season and we already have that. Thanks to him, we are 10th in the championship ahead of Sauber and I don't think we could have hoped for much better. Things are not that easy and obviously the Austrian Grand Prix was a great moment. Seizing the opportunity when it presents itself is what we must continue to do.

Let's talk about your teammate Rio Haryanto: we didn't give much of our skin alongside you. Is it a surprise to you too that this is not the case?

Qualifying is one thing and the race is another. Concerning the latter, it's 10 to 1 in my favor, with a 10th place in Austria. You don't score a point on Saturday afternoon...

Where are you at regarding 2017?

No idea. I have a year of contract and I'm waiting at the moment. Nothing is ever perfect in a first season, but Austria speaks for me and the second part of the season will allow me to take a new step. I'm not worried.
