Paul di Resta on track Friday in Shanghai

On the occasion of the last round of the world championship of Formula 1 at Sepang, Paul di Resta had the right to sit aboard the car from the Force India team on the Friday before the Grand Prix. The leaders of the Indian team had insisted before the start of the season on the fact that the Scot was a solution for the future and therefore that the objective was to make him ride as much as possible in order to allow him to store the maximum experience. The cousin of the Franchitti brothers (Dario and Marino) who are active in the United States, is delighted with this opportunity offered to him.

“Everything went relatively well in Malaysia, declares the pilot Mercedes en DTM. I progressed and accumulated experience. My program is exactly the same as that of the regular pilots. At the moment, I'm still aware that it's not my car so I have to be careful. The Shanghai circuit will, once again, be new to me and I won't have the opportunity to get into the simulator before, so I will do things in order and learn the layout. ".

Paul di Resta is one of the rare reservists on the grid to have the opportunity to ride. A boon for a driver who will have a busy schedule to say the least this year, since when he is not at the Grands Prix, he will sit in the seat of the Mercedes C Class with which he will compete in his fourth season in DTM. After finishing 2nd and 3rd respectively in 2008 and 2009, the Scot will aim to win the title in the very tough German touring championship.
