Despite a renewed form during FP3, Hamilton was never really able to fight for pole position this Saturday afternoon.

“Congratulations to Max, he was super fast today as he has been since the start of the weekend here, relates Hamilton. Tomorrow, we will drive, fighting to the end against Red Bull."

During the French Grand Prix, the wearer of number 44 was able to fight until the end for victory against an aggressive strategy of Max Verstappen. But on the Austrian track, Hamilton appears abnormally pessimistic about his chances of victory.

“Theoretically we are behind in race pace compared to what we saw yesterday, admits Hamilton. It will be interesting to see how the race goes tomorrow. However, I think we don't have the pace to fight with Red Bull but we will give our all as usual. »

On the clock, Lewis Hamilton was beaten by his teammate Valtteri Bottas. The Finn received a three-place penalty for making a dangerous maneuver in the pitlane during FP2.
