Petrov: Caterham eyes Toro Rosso

By signing 13th and 14th places in Valencia, Caterham F1 Team indicated its desire to fight in the middle of the pack and proved that it was legitimate for them to aim for the top ten. This progress is highlighted by the standing still of Toro Rosso which seems to have a lot of difficulty developing its STR7. Vijay Mallya's team will arrive with confidence at Silverstone where Vitaly Petrov took 12th place last year with the Lotus team.Renault GP. The Russian hopes that the new developments made by the team will allow the CT01s to climb even higher in the hierarchy.

“Given that we will be bringing new developments to the British Grand Prix, I think we will have another race where we will be able to improve.”, comments the former Lotus-Renault GP driver. “I know that everyone will benefit from developments and we will have to make sure that we not only increase our performance but also improve it compared to our direct competitors. It's a big challenge, but after seeing the gap close to Toro Rosso in Valencia we have a clear objective in front of us which offers additional motivation for the whole team. I hope we will be able to benefit from the same level of progress at Silverstone. If we succeed it could make the British Grand Prix very interesting. »
