Petrov: The season remains unpredictable

Lotus-Renault GP is currently in 4th place in the Manufacturers' Championship, behind Ferrari but in front Mercedes GP. The fight for places of honor is likely to be intense throughout the season and Vitaly Petrov hopes to see the performance of his R31 evolve quickly.

« La F1 never stays the same, it constantly changes », recalls the Russian. “ In Turkey, Red Bull was the fastest, but McLaren had won before and we were third fastest in two races already this season. It is impossible to predict what will happen during the year because everything is possible. We bring new elements to each meeting to try to improve the car. »

Vitaly Petrov is looking forward to the Spanish GP, having enjoyed numerous successes in his career at the Catalunya circuit. “ I have been to this circuit many times in the past and have won several podiums there in GP2 and in F3000. This weekend will be different from testing because it was quite cold (in March). This race will be interesting because everyone knows the route quite well. The fight will be close and the gaps will be quite small. »
