Philippe Bianchi: “Jules completes a marathon”

Philippe Bianchi, Jules' father, spoke to Nice Matin about the evolution of the state of health of his son who is still hospitalized since his dramatic exit from the track at Suzuka last year. If the situation of the 25-year-old Frenchman is still worrying, his family refuses to give up hope.

“The only thing we can say is that he fights with strength, as he always fought, before and after the accident.”, explained his father to the Nice daily. " Each day, Jules completes a marathon. From a medical point of view, his condition is stable. He is quite independent. No physical problem. All his organs function normally, without assistance. But, for now, he remains unconscious, in a coma. »

Philippe Bianchi and his family continue to go daily to see Jules at the Nice hospital. “We hope for new developments. The next thing would be for him to come out of the coma. From time to time, at his bedside, we see that things are happening. At certain times, he is more “active”, he moves more, his hand squeezes us… But are these simple reflexes or real reactions? It’s hard to know…”
