Pierre Gasly 15th, Franco Colapinto 13th, such was the fixed image of the end of a Montreal weekend of the most disappointing yet achieved by Alpine. At no time during the various days of driving, the car seemed unable to make a comeback in the pack, despite a good pace demonstrated by Franco Colapinto, and confirmed by Pierre Gasly appearing once again on reserve almost two weeks after this new failure.
“Being eliminated in Q1, having to start from the pits, then being stuck for 40 laps in a DRS train… It was a very frustrating Grand Prix, the Frenchman summed up at a press conference this Thursday. The pace wasn't that bad; we could have aimed for the last few points in the standings. That said, we knew Montreal wouldn't suit us too well."
On a track that was certainly unfavorable, the pilots Alpine seemed, once again, not to suffer from their pure pace. This most frustrating paradox has also been observed on a large number of circuits since the beginning of 2025, except in Monaco, where the configuration of the place seemed to truly relegate the team ofenstone in the last places on the grid.
A Alpine delicate until 2026?
In the image of Red Bull and its supposedly very difficult to handle single-seater, doubts began to emerge about the possibility of such a syndrome on the side of the arrowed A. "It's not easy to fix, but not difficult either, commented Pierre Gasly. We know our strengths and weaknesses well. It's all about optimization right now. A tenth can make you gain or lose three or four positions. We have to focus on the details. We're going to try to take this car as far as possible this year. We're already focusing on next year."
Despite an improvement hypothetically allowing Alpine to come and grab a few positions on the current grid, the effort will clearly be made in 2026. The decision having already been taken in many teams in the peloton, if not at the back of the grid, the good pace constantly mentioned within the Enstone team contrasts with the performances observed weekend after weekend. In Austria, the objective was not clearly set, to the extent that no hope of real improvement seems to emerge from the blue and pink garage. What to hope for many opportunities to seize in the race?

Once again, my French journalist friends are only saying what they suppose! My poor Pierre, we like you, but look for a steering wheel for next year, because Alpine, thanks to the hidden commissions he will receive, Briatore has put Alpine envent ....;(;(;( Sad sir !!!!

Alpine must clean up…. its leaders…… Briatore possibly as a consultant, but no more…… Gasly as one of the drivers Alpine, and above all another driver who can and must score…. points …… And above all urgently a real Team-Principal, and that in the coming days….. or else announce thatAlpine will be ….. sold …..!!!!! 😎👀👍👀🤨

Nothing new under the Enstone sun! Is Brille A Tort also looking to jump ship following the departure of his patron Luca De Meo? This smells like the wooden spoon of the last 2025 place for Alpine knowing that in 2026, Alpine will have progressed since the spoon will certainly be for Cadillac!

I bet you 2026 won't be any better. It takes at least 5 years of stable management to hope for better.
