As with the Monaco event, free practice for which begins this Thursday, Pirelli will provide "soft" and "super soft" tires to the teams for the Canadian Grand Prix, from June 8 to 10. On the occasion of the European Grand Prix, which will take place on the Valencia street circuit on June 22-24, the drivers will use the "soft" and "medium" tires, a selection which had already been current in Australia , in China and Bahrain. Finally, “soft” and “hard” tires will be required for the British Grand Prix, from July 6 to 8.
« The Montreal circuit is a narrow and winding track, ideal for the two softest compounds in our range, which will previously be used at the Monaco Grand Prix., explained the Italian manufacturer in a press release. Valencia is also a street circuit, but the higher temperatures and higher passing speeds mean that medium and soft compounds are more suited there. Finally, Silverstone is one of the fastest tracks of the season and a significant gap between the two soft and hard compounds will open up great strategic opportunities for the teams, while offering durability and performance. »
