Pirelli announces its next tires

Pirelli has a catalog of 6 different tires, including 4 dedicated exclusively to dry conditions: Hard, Medium, Soft and Super Soft.

Two of these 4 proposals will be selected for the Grand Prix of Turkey, Spain and Monaco. If Pirelli plays the card of caution without changing its plans too much in relation to the first three GPs of the year, we should however note the introduction in Monaco of the type of Super Soft rubber, the one recognizable by its red color.

Here is the list of tire allocations:
Turkish Grand Prix: Hard (Prime) and Soft (Option)
Spanish Grand Prix: Hard (Prime) and Soft (Option)
Monaco Grand Prix: Soft (bonus) and Super Soft (option)

According to Paul Hembery, competition director at Pirelli, “we carefully considered all the characteristics of the circuits with the aim of making the races as exciting as possible, as we have already seen at the start of the season. We will have particular attention on Monaco where the Super Soft will make its debut. It's a somewhat different tire from the rest of the catalog, which should make it very effective on the streets of Monte Carlo. We can bet that overtaking, usually almost impossible in Monaco, will be more numerous this year.

Also note that the Italian manufacturer will introduce new markings for its tires from the Turkish Grand Prix so that their distinction will be easier, particularly on television.
