Pirelli: “More precise indications”

The victorious outcome of the Italian Grand Prix for Mercedes et Lewis Hamilton a little over a week ago, was put on hold by an investigation concerning the pressures of the tires fitted to the W06 Hybrid. Cleared by the commissioners, the German team was able to celebrate its success on Italian soil. Pirelli announced today that it is working closely with the FIA to ensure that these situations do not arise again in the future.

“We will define, in collaboration with the FIA, a clear procedure making it easier for teams to follow the rules regarding tire use, specifies Paul Hembery, boss of Pirelli Motorsport. This is important to avoid any misunderstanding, giving the teams more precise guidance to follow, thus avoiding what happened to Mercedes at Monza. »

Pirelli had already published its conclusions after the events at Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium, where the tires of Sebastian Vettel and Nico Rosberg had exploded on the track.
