No rest for Pirelli in Formula 1. The Italian manufacturer asked the Team Ferrari to conduct two days of testing at the hilly Mugello circuit (Italy), June 13 and 14.

Charles Leclerc, winner of the Monaco Grand Prix, completed 120 laps behind the wheel of the SF-24 on Thursday, the equivalent of a little more than two racing distances. The Monegasque was tasked with testing the hard tires planned for next season, which will be the last to use the current specifications before the arrival of narrower tires in 2026.

The circuit, which features numerous mid- and high-speed corners, was chosen to evaluate whether Pirelli's latest rubber compounds have managed to reduce tire overheating as hoped. However, afternoon rain prompted Charles Leclerc to test intermediate tires.

His teammate Carlos Sainz must get behind the wheel on Friday. Mugello is the fifth circuit visited by Pirelli to test tires for the 2025 season, after Barcelona, Jerez (Spain), Suzuka (Japan) and Paul-Ricard (Var).
