Pirelli will be able to do more testing

Pirelli will be able to optimize the preparation of its tires for the 2017 season with 25 days of testing. The FIA ​​World Council validated this Wednesday April 20 the increase in testing days for the manufacturer of the F1 who will have to adapt their rubber to the future regulation which notably provides for revised degradation and wider tires adapted to single-seaters generating more downforce (from 245 to 350 mm at the front and from 325 to 405 mm at the rear).

These 25 days of testing will be applicable in 2016 and for the following two years. Pirelli will be able to test its prototype tires for 2017 on single-seaters from the 2013 and 2014 seasons.
