Several changes to the route in Baku

Following the first two free practice sessions in the Azeri capital, where certain kerbs caused problems, the organizers made several changes to the track. The curb placed at the exit of the pit lane has been removed and the radius of the turn increased.

The buzzer has been replaced by a “painted buzzer” in red and white. The curbs at the exit of turns 6 and 12 were removed and replaced with “painted curbs”, as was the curb at the entry of turn 13.

The other modifications concern the pit lane entry and exit markings. The dotted line at the exit of the pitlane has been moved forward by 20m, and the entry line has been realigned, extended by 40m and doubled in width. A new PIT ENTRY sign has been placed at the start of the line on the protective fence.
