A sixteenth place for Pierre Gasly at the end of the first day. A seventeenth for Esteban Ocon. All this within two seconds of the reference time established by the essential Max Verstappen. This is a setting which, at first glance, is not very reassuring. However, smiles are on everyone's lips at Alpine, from the drivers to technical director Matt Harman. It must be said that the winter tests are
