First tests with the 2019 version front wings

Last May, the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) announced an overhaul of the aerodynamic regulations for the 2019 Formula 1 season. Main visual change, a modified front wing to guarantee a better show and more overtaking.

The private tests after the Hungarian Grand Prix were the opportunity to discover these front wings for the first time. Three teams (Red Bull, Force India and Williams) used this new appendix. The fin is wider, also simpler because no vertical fin is present, as is currently the case.

The 2019 version front wing is 200 millimeters wider than its big brother and 20 millimeters higher.
