F1 Presentations – How Teams Keep the Sauce Up

Two days. This is how long we still have to wait before discover the first Formula 1 of 2013. This is the Lotus E21, which will be presented live on the internet from enstone, in Great Britain, Monday evening at 20:15 p.m. French time (GMT+1). But while waiting to know if the new car Romain Grosjean and Kimi Räikkönen will display a broken beak like last year, the British team published a somewhat special video? We see the Finn, who we know is allergic to the media, being interviewed by? Matt Leblanc! The actor from the series Friends.

Being questioned about his news car, to each question Räikkönen answers that he " do not know " before sending his interlocutor flying with the help of a “Leave me alone, I know what I?m doing” (Leave me alone, I know what I'm doing), a reference to his bloodshed during the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, which he subsequently won. A very original way to keep fans waiting?

From his side Mercedes GP just highlighted its new pilot, the 2008 world champion Lewis Hamilton. In a short one-minute video, we see the Briton taking his first steps in the Brackley factory. If we had already been able to see him dressed dressed in the colors of his new team, here we can see him putting on his brand new suit for the first time. Everything is accompanied by a personal message for his fans and those of the brand with the star.

Much more sober, the Team Ferrari today has contented itself with publish an image showing their engine block. All this, accompanied by a message and a countdown before the presentation of the prancing horse's new single-seater. “Don’t give in under the tension, we’ll be there soon. In the meantime, calm your nerves with this… D-6 », we can read.

In a more dynamic and serious style, McLaren was the first the day before revealed a teaser before the presentation of his car, which will take place next Thursday. Against the background of electronic music, a shot approaches a car draped in a veil while several sequences follow one another showing the McLarens used in recent years.
