The program for the 2022 Miami Grand Prix

La Formula 1 makes its big debut in Miami (United States), during this fifth round of the 2022 season. For the first time since 1984, two Grands Prix will take place in the same season across the Atlantic, a first for the city of Miami though. This brand new route, 5,410 km long and 19 turns, borders the contours of Hard Rock Stadium, home of the Miami Dolphins, an American football franchise. It is the eleventh American city to host an F1 Grand Prix, after Sebring, Indianapolis, Riverside, Watkins Glen, Long Beach, Caesars Palace, Detroit, Dallas, Phoenix and Austin. On Sunday, the race will kick off for 58 laps on an urban track, where two DRS zones will be present. There will be multiple opportunities to overtake.

Regarding schedules, Free Practice 1 will take place from 20:30 p.m. on Friday, before the second session of the day, at 23:30 p.m. The next day, the traditional final free practice session is scheduled for 19 p.m. Qualifying will begin at 22 p.m., to define the starting grid for the next day. Finally, for the start of the Grand Prix, you will have to stay up a little later than usual, it is scheduled for 21:30 p.m. this Sunday.
