Prost: 'This crown won't be the last' for Vettel

Alain Prost is now equaled by Sebastian Vettel who won his 4th world title at the Indian Grand Prix at the end of a race still mastered magnificently by the Red Bull driver. The ambassador of Renault congratulates the German who has achieved flawless results since 2010, collecting victories and coronations with Red Bull Racing who also celebrates his fourth title with the Losange in the Manufacturers' Championship.

With 10 victories including six in a row this season, Alain Prost can only admire the performance of Sebastian Vettel who will be able to try to match Juan-Manuel Fangio next year. “I'm delighted that Sebastian won the title today.”, confides Alain Prost. “He is a great driver and he has achieved some magnificent victories this season, certainly among the best of his career. Singapore was one of them; even if from the outside the race seemed easy, he fought from start to finish. It?s the mark of the greatest. You can observe his methodical approach and his ability to bring together a 100% motivated team around him to lead him to victory, because only this final result matters to him. »

Alain Prost already expects to see the Red Bull driver win other titles, perhaps surpassing Michael Schumacher who is the most victorious in F1 with seven world titles. “He is a great champion and I am convinced that this crown will not be the last. His team is excellent, the technical structure around him is stable, both within his team and on the Renault side and, of course, he is still young enough to aspire to new challenges. I am happy that he managed to equal my four titles. I now wish him good luck for the rest of his career, he will certainly win other crowns and be a great Renault champion. »
