There are now three people in the world who can boast of being quadruple world champions. Formula 1. Alain Prost et Sebastian Vettel were joined by Max Verstappen in the list of titles in the discipline. An achievement all the more remarkable since, like the German eleven years before him, the Dutchman signed a "four in a row" with four consecutive titles, again with Red Bull.
Inevitably, after this fourth world crown, Max Verstappen received the honors and congratulations of his peers, both in the paddock and from afar, starting with Alain Prost. The man with 51 victories and 4 world titles (1985, 1986, 1989, 1993) warmly greeted his Dutch counterpart, and said he was impressed by the Red Bull driver's mastery this season despite many obstacles and difficulties encountered during the 2024 season.

“A great pride to be joined by Max [Verstappen], like Sebastian [Vettel], Alain Prost told Canal+. These are drivers I like. This year the championship has been very different for Max, but it reflects exactly what Max has become in years since his controversial title in 2021. In 2022 and 2023 it was certainly a little bit easier but this year he showed something even different. He fully deserves his title.
"When you know everything that has happened since the beginning of the year on a sporting and non-sporting level, the car that works well at the beginning and is no longer efficient afterwards, without a driver like Max in a team like this, it can collapse, underlines the quadruple French champion, in reference to the controversies which have shaken the Red Bull clan and the Dutchman. He showed great composure, on and off the track, and he became a more than complete driver, one of the best in history. Very proud to be joined in the club of four times world champions.
