Which team for Heidfeld in 2011?

Nick Heidfeld, who has experienced all the situations this season, is now looking for a seat for the 2011 season. The German driver, who left BMW-Sauber at the end of 2009 following the withdrawal of the German manufacturer, is considering several solutions. According to the Swiss newspaper Blick, close to the team d?Hinwil, Nick Heidfeld is said to be looking at many options, from Force India to Lotus, including Virgin and HRT.

At the end of last season, Nick Heidfeld thought he had found refuge with Mercedes before the hypothesis Michael Schumacher only gets stronger and stronger as the weeks go by. Finally, Schumi had indeed returned as the starter and “Quick Nick” had to settle for a role of third driver that was more frustrating than interesting.

At the end of the summer, the German jumped at the possibility of riding for Pirelli, the Milanese firm developing tires intended to equip F1 in 2011, thanks in particular to a Toyota TF109. But Nick Heidfeld had left this seat to Romain Grosjean then Pedro de la Rosa, taking the Spaniard's place at Sauber for the last five races of the season.

If the duration of the contract only covered the few weeks at the end of the season, it is because Peter Sauber was working on another file. On Monday, the Hinwil team formalized the arrival of Sergio Perez, Mexican pilot supported by the powerful Telmex company. It is therefore in another team that the German will have to try to continue his career as an F1 driver.
