While Abu Dhabi's Yas Marina Circuit will undergo real configuration changes in preparation for the 2021 Grand Prix, the Red Bull Ring will only be slightly reworked in view of the two races expected in two weeks near Spielberg.

The FIA, via the race director's notes, confirmed several modifications mainly affecting the immediate surroundings of the asphalt snake. The biggest change concerns the removal of the second green and white element of the double curb outside turn n°6, the gravel area having been brought closer to the racing line.

The grass area on the right side between turns 2 and 3 has also been reduced, and replaced with gravel. Additional protective fencing has been added around the circuit, and the safety rail on the right side of turn 5 has also been realigned.

Small adjustments which should not prevent the spectacle regularly present at the Red Bull Ring in recent years.
