Like drivers, team principals are almost equally important to a racing team. F1. It is impossible for a ship to sail at sea without its captain. He is the one who wears the leader's cap of each formation on the grid.
Within a team, the team director, or team principal to use the title of our Anglo-Saxon friends, is above all the main person in charge. His role requires him to manage and supervise different fields of action such as the management of drivers, engineers and many other team employees, both on the circuits and at headquarters.
He will also be the one who will have to take the criticism or receive the compliments depending on the performance of the car and the team. The team manager is also the one who will have to respond publicly to the press and therefore appears almost as the main face of a team.
