Racing Point on track with its 2020 car next week

The official Formula 1 website reports that Racing Point will test its RP20 at Silverstone on Wednesday June 17. While a stable like Mercedes chose to return to the track with an old car – the W09 of 2018 – the pink team will field the car with which it will compete this season in the world championship.

To do this, Racing Point will use one of the two days of testing authorized by the regulations for promotional purposes for each team. Lawrence's team Stroll, who will become Aston Martin in 2021, will therefore only be entitled to 100 kilometers.

His son Lance is expected to take the wheel of a car which caused a lot of discussion during winter testing due to its striking resemblance to last year's Mercedes W10.

Similarities fully accepted by technical director Andy Green but which had provoked the wrath of Racing Point's opponents in the middle of the table, notably Renault et McLaren. Especially since the times of the new pink panther were more than promising!
