Räikkönen: hard to do a good tour in Bahrain

Kimi Räikkönen narrowly missed out on victory at the 2015 Bahrain Grand Prix, taking second place behind Lewis Hamilton. The pilot of the Team Ferrari will still be hopeful of playing at the forefront this year, with the Sakhir circuit being conducive to the SF16-H. The Finn had already performed well at the Australian GP before having to retire following a mechanical problem.

“I like Bahrain. The track does not have very difficult turns, but it is still complicated to achieve a good lap because the conditions change a lot with factors such as wind and variable temperatures between the day and the evening., notes the 2007 world champion. “I might have been able to win last year, but there’s no point in making history again. I finished second and that’s how it was. It wasn't a bad result, but I could have done even better. »

Kimi Räikkönen will have to adapt his driving to maintain his brakes, the Sakhir track being harsh on the braking system. “You can have problems even in an ideal world where everything goes well, but we have a good system so far. Some cars may have problems at this level., adds the Finn.
