Räikkönen remains in charge at Barcelona

Kimi Räikkönen (Ferrari) remained the fastest in Barcelona's tests at the end of the seventh day contested at the Circuit de Catalunya. With a time of 1'22"765, the Finn is more than four tenths ahead of his closest opponent, Felipe Massa (Williams). The Brazilian stood out this afternoon, while most teams focused on race simulations, by setting the second fastest time of the day on soft tyres.

Nico Hulkenberg (Force India) remained in front Max Verstappen (Toro Rosso) who was the most diligent of the day with 159 laps covered. The top five is completed by Nico Rosberg (Mercedes) who gave way to his teammate Lewis Hamilton at midday. The reigning world champion set the 11th fastest time on medium tires.

Felipe Nasr (Sauber) is sixth in front Fernando Alonso (McLaren) who achieved his best time on super soft tires while he also progressed with the ultra softs. Pascal Wehrlein (Manor) ranks eighth ahead of Daniil Kvyat (Red Bull) and Jolyon Palmer.

Haas F1 Team was able to accumulate running during this day with 78 laps covered by Romain Grosjean, but the Frenchman was the cause of three interruptions, the first two being due to going off the track.
