Räikkönen continues in 2017 at Ferrari

As in 2015, the Team Ferrari has put an end to the soap opera of the future of Kimi Räikkönen, confirming the Finn's extension for 2017.

After going through McLaren, Iceman had joined the trans trainingalpine in 2007, to take over from Michael Schumacher. A more than successful first year in red with the world title up for grabs at the end of a breathtaking end-of-season scenario facing Lewis Hamilton et Fernando Alonso, then teammates at McLaren.

After his experience WRC and his time at Lotus, Räikkönen returned to the ranks of Ferrari in 2014 alongside Fernando Alonso. Highly anticipated, the Finn has still not found his way to victory with Ferrari.

In recent weeks, the question of the Ferrari driver's contract has regularly come up in discussions, as have the names of potential replacements, notably Sergio Pérez.
