Räikkönen calls for more consistency in penalties

Kimi Räikkönen pointed out during a press conference held in the Monza paddock the lack of consistency among the marshals in terms of incidents on track. The pilot of the Team Ferrari spoke out again for a few days after narrowly avoiding a collision with Max Verstappen, author of several reprehensible maneuvers at the Belgian Grand Prix.

“The rules seem clear enough to me and we sometimes think that what happens on the track is not correct, commented Kimi Räikkönen. The main problem is that the cases are not always identical. It could be improved. »

If Kimi Räikkönen did not hesitate to criticize the management of Max Verstappen at the end of the Spa-Francorchamps race, he assures that he has no resentment against the driver Red Bull.

“I have nothing against him. He does a good job and he's fast, added the Ferrari driver. It's just that he did some things that didn't seem right to me. I don't have to brake at full speed. But these kinds of discussions are endless. »

As for his collision at the start of the race with Sebastian Vettel, Kimi Räikkönen also does not seem to blame his teammate who took responsibility for the accident by saying that he should have given the Finn more space.

“It was unfortunate, but there's not much else to say. Seb said “sorry”, I replied “OK” and we moved on. It wasn't ideal for the three of us (with Max Verstappen) to be involved in this incident, but it happens sometimes. We'll try to space ourselves out more next time, but we're done now.", concluded Kimi Räikkönen.
