Räikkönen sixth winner in Monaco?

Kimi Räikkönen is torn between satisfaction and frustration. The 2007 world champion has an efficient Lotus E20 capable of fighting at the front but the Finn has not yet managed to secure victory even if he remains on two consecutive podiums. Iceman nevertheless remains reserved before competing in this very special race on the calendar. “Monaco is different, it’s hard to say where we will be up there, even if there is no better feeling than shining on this circuit”, he admits. “The team has done a good job so far and I'm happy with how things are going. Of course, we are not completely satisfied because we are not winning, but it is still completely acceptable. »

Nevertheless, Kimi Räikkönen would obviously like to return to victory in the streets of the Principality where he already won in 2005 when he rode for McLaren. “Having already signed two podiums is a good thing. Unfortunately, we are not always able to achieve this. You have to take your chance if it comes because it is not in every race that you are able to fight for this position. I hope we can continue what we're doing right now. In a way, I am convinced that things will go very well and that we will be at the forefront. So far, we have made good progress and the car performed well on all circuits. »
