Asked at a press conference before the Belgian Grand Prix, Kimi Räikkönen returned to the extension of his contract until the end of 2018 with the Team and hopes the same will be true for his “best teammate”, namely Sebastian Vettel.
« We both get along well, and I hope things stay as they are today."
The Finn notably distinguished himself at the Hungarian Grand Prix by keeping the Mercedes behind him to offer victory to his teammate. Räikkönen seems to have found form since his return to the Reds by signing his first pole since 2008 in Monaco.
« We want to do well and improve our results. We can always find something to improve. Things were going better these last few races. Results are improving and I am confident that we are heading in the right direction."
Räikkönen is currently 5e Sebastian Vettel's 86-point world championship victory.
