Räikkönen: “Always something to learn”

Since yesterday, rain tire tests have been held on the Paul-Ricard track in Var. Pirelli was thus able to test its prototypes for the 2016 season, with the single-seaters Ferrari, Red Bull et McLaren in 2015 configuration.

In total, 285 laps were completed by Kimi Räikkönen, Daniel Ricciardo and Stoffel Vandoorne yesterday. A driving session always useful according to the Finn from the Scuderia. “It was like a normal testing day, indicates the 2007 World Champion.

I think it's too early to draw conclusions about these prototypes, but it was a useful session because everyone was operating under identical conditions. It's been a while since we've flown, and even though it was only one day, there is always something to learn from it. »

The Paul-Ricard route allows such tests via the Var track watering system. If Stoffel Vandoorne will be back in the McLaren seat this Tuesday, Sebastian Vettel and Daniil Kvyat will be in action with Ferrari and Red Bull.
