Red Bull had the car to win

Red Bull Racing's ambitions continue to evolve, and a second position is no longer enough to satisfy Christian Horner's men. Red Bull had a car capable of winning today, but the start of the race probably cost Sebastian Vettel the victory.

Red Bull had the car to win

Third on the starting grid, with a car loaded with gasoline, Sebatian Hag firmly believed in his chances of victory. Only the start of the race disrupted the plans of Red Bull Racing. “The second corner conditioned our afternoon, when Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton have overtaken Sebastian,” concedes Christian Horner. “Sebastian then lost quite a bit of time behind Lewis at the start of the race and behind Jarno in his second stint. When he had a clear track, he was able to increase the pace and thus take second position. So it's a good result, eight points more and we are still second in the Manufacturers' Championship. We had a car fast enough to win again today. »

Starting from the back of the grid, Mark Webber had a more difficult day. “Mark completed a difficult race starting from a bad position on the starting grid,” continued Horner. “He was on the right pace, but with almost all the cars finishing, 11th was probably the best result he could hope for. »
